Henry's Red Toddy on guard |
Famous Henry's Red Toddy was bred by William T Delihant, and was previously known as Delihant's Red Toddy. Frank bought him directly from Mr. Delihant. Red Toddy was from 4-th generation of William T Delihant linebreeding. Toddy's dam was Burrison's Nigger by McGee's Blind Fritz, son of great Galvin's Turk from old Jack Burke's bloods. Toddy was sired by Delihant's Monkey 11xW, that was same breeding as Delihant's Paddy and Red Dog. Dam of these 3 Delihant bred dogs was Delihant's Crazy Kate 5xW, tightly linebred Pilot bloods. Here is Crazy Kate pedigree.
This looks tightest Pilot linebred pedigree ever existed. Some said that Jennings brindle bitch, who is in 4-th gen of this pedigree, was sired by famous Jennings' Bowler.
William Delihant was well known in coal business, he was president of Standard Washed Coal Co (this concern was organized and incorporated by him), later he became president of Coal Silver Co.
Delihant's Paddy
William Delihant bred his heavily linebred Pilot bith Delihant's Crazy Kate to Con Feeley's Jesse, who was also direct descedant of Charlie Lloyd's Pilot. Here is pedigree of Delihant's Monkey 11xW and Delihant's Paddy.
Henry's Red Toddy Now, back to Toddy, son of Delihant's Monkey 11xW. Henry's Red Toddy was whelped at May 13, 1901. He was at least 3 times winner, 44 pounds dog.
